41-year-old vineyards located within the municipality of Laguardia. The soil is very poor calcareous-clay on south-facing slopes.

Wholly-owned vineyards.

Hand-picked Tempranillo variety.

Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence which varies extremely between summer and winter.

Annual rainfall: 400 litres.

The grapes are first de-stemmed and then deposited in a stainless-steel tank, where they stay for approximately 10 days until alcoholic fermentation ends. This method produces greater colour extraction and more complex, tannic wines, which are the best for long ageing. It is aged in Bordelaise barrels made of new, medium-toasted French oak, where its malolactic fermentation takes place. After 12 months, it is bottled to complete its ageing.

Intense cherry red colour with light brick hues, bright and very luminous. Aroma of great intensity and complexity that comes from its excellent ageing. Reminiscences appear of roasted coffee and black berries of excellent intensity. In the mouth, it is balanced with a meaty, mature and wide mid-palate wrapped in aromatic nuances, with a powerful finish and the finesse and elegance of a great wine.

This strong personality wine accompanies fillet steak with foie gras, game meats, grilled or stewed lamb with spices, highly-aged fermented or blue cheeses
